Turkey 30 m Resolution Land Cover Product,2020

Land cover data for Turkey at 30 m spatial resolution, including ten main land cover types, namely cultivated land, forest, grassland, shrub land, wetland, water body, tundra, man-made surface, bare land, glacier and permanent snow. The classification images used in the development are mainly 30-meter multispectral images, including TM5, ETM+ and OLI multispectral images of the United States Landsat satellite (Landsat) and the multispectral images of the Chinese Environmental Disaster Reduction Satellite (HJ-1). It accurately determines the spatial distribution and change of various types of land cover, which not only provides reliable basic data support for change research and the development of earth system model, but also plays a very important role in revealing the changes of global ecology, environment and resources brought by human activities, in-depth analysis of human-land conflicts, and scientific formulation of sustainable development planning.
