Online map of paleo - tectonics in the Himalayan stage of China

The Cenozoic crustal movement is about 2.5 million years ago. It is named after the Himalayas between East Asia and South Asia. It is called the Himalayan Movement for short. The fold belt formed by the Himalayan movement is called the Himalayan fold belt. Up to now, the activity is very strong, among which the highest mountains are distributed. The Himalayan Movement made the Mediterranean, the Great Gaochao, the Middle East, the Himalayas, the western Central and South Peninsula, the Greater Sunda Islands, the Melanesian Islands in Western Oceania, the Philippines, Taiwan, Ryukyu Islands, the Japanese Islands, Sakhalin, Kamchatka Peninsula, the Coriyak Mountains and Western North America. The Cenozoic strata fold faults in the coastal zone, the West Indies and the Andes Mountains along the western coast of South America rose, accompanied by volcanic eruption and magmatic intrusion, forming folded mountain systems or island arcs. In China, the Himalayan movement caused the sea water to retreat from the mainland to the East and West sides. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau uplifted and the Paleo-Mediterranean disappeared. The northern basins of China mainly subsided in a large area, while the southern basins in the north latitude 30 degrees were mainly uplifted. Mineral resources mainly include oil, natural gas, lignite, peat, salt, placer, kaolin and so on.
