Spatial distribution of seismic activity

In some areas, small and medium earthquakes occur intensively around the epicenter of a major earthquake in the future, and the central part forms a seismic space. Some medium and small earthquakes are arranged in stripes, or two crosses are formed. Of the large earthquakes may occur near the intersection of the stripes. In some areas, epicenters of major earthquakes are interconnected and tend to form some form of network-like distribution. These seismic activity images are related to their tectonic setting, which may reflect the process of tectonic stress, and the trend of these seismic images may also provide information for earthquake prediction.
