He is the famous scholar, and also play an active role in many international organizations, has extensive influence. He made an important contribution to the implementation of many international scientific projects such as the international trans Antarctic scientific expedition plan. Academician Qin Dahe long-term participation in the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC) assessment report writing.
As the IPCC fourth assessment report of the first joint working group chairman (2002-2008), he successfully organized IPCC scientific assessment activities, preparation of support and recommend developing country scientists and young scientists involved in the assessment report IPCC.
