On September 10th local time, Hurricane "Daniel" hit the eastern region of Libya, causing severe flooding. The disaster situation in the Libyan port city of Derna was the most severe, with two dams breaking, resulting in the catastrophic consequences of "a quarter of the cities completely disappearing". According to data from the Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as of the evening of September 12th local time, more than 5200 people have been confirmed dead due to floods and tens of thousands of people are missing throughout Libya.This dataset includes information on the affected cities in Libya, the number of people affected and so on.
