she is interested in changes in ecosystems through time and the effects those changes have on the ability of ecosystems to store organic matter, nutrients and carbon. Currently, as a part of the research team led by Dr. Eric Sundquist, they are calculating present-day and historical carbon storage in current and pre-industrial wetlands in the conterminous United States.
