Institute of geology,China Earthquake Administration is a 60-year history of the development of state-level scientific research institutions, its predecessor can be traced back to the earliest established in 1913 the Ministry of Industry and Geological Survey and the establishment of the Central Institute of Geological Research Institute in 1928, 1950 to 1951 Year in the formation of the former Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1971 under the leadership of the State Seismological Bureau, in 1978 changed its name to the National Seismological Bureau of Geological Research Institute (according to the State Council agreed to engage in non-seismic research part of the reorganization of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Geology) , In 1998 the Institute changed its name to the China Earthquake Administration Institute of Geology.
