Achievement
On January 10, 2020, the "Key Technologies for the Establishment of China's High-precision Digital Elevation Benchmarks and Their Popularization and Application" hosted by Li Jiancheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of the School of Surveying and Mapping, won the first prize of the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award. The project aims at the major needs of national elevation benchmark modernization and location services, overcomes the rigorization of the Stokes-Helmert boundary value problem and its application key technologies, and forms a complete technical system for the establishment of precision digital elevation benchmarks, and proposes the use of digital elevation benchmarks to achieve The new model of maintenance and measurement of elevation benchmarks has started the process of modernization of elevation benchmarks in China. The project results were promoted and applied to industries such as land and resources, planning, water conservancy, transportation, and geophysical prospecting, realizing rapid and accurate measurement of high altitude, and huge social and economic benefits.
