Abstract
The Zhouqu great debris flow caused serious disaster and property losses. In order to meet the requirement of reconstruction and disaster prevention in Zhouqu County, we discussed the causes of the Zhouqu great debris flow, collected rainfall information from the related stations, calculated the peak discharge of the debris flow and flood quantity, and discussed the geological features of the debris flow channel, underlying surface form and other factors that may lead to the debris flow.
