Introduction
Institute of Arid Zones is one of the youngest research institutes in Russia. It has had some achievements in the study of the changes of climate change, productivity of agriculture and fisheries, drought and dust storms and the salinity of seawater. The Institute's research activities are based on national, oceans and freshwater resources. Rebuilding the geological and ecological environment, systematically predicting carcinogenic diseases, paying attention to environmental safety and regional sustainable development, focusing on the development of climate change and predicting the dynamic changes of land ecosystems in southern Europe.
