Education
He graduated from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1968. He majored in physics. He has been a visiting scholar in Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Work Experience
He engaged in satellite connector research as a technician at the 1423 Institute of Nnational Defense of Science and Technology from December 1968-August 1977. He engaged in ocean remote sensing research at Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA, from August 1977 to the present.
Achievement
He was awarded the title of national young people with outstanding contributions in 1994. He enjoyed the special allowance of the State Council in 1997. He was elected Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2001. Since 1990, he has won four times first prize and four times second class prize of the provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress award. He won the important contribution award by "863" project belonged to the national science and technology department. He won the remote sensing scientific achievement in International Society for Optical Engineering in 2002. He won the National science and technology progress award in 2003. In 2008, he won the special prize of the Marine innovation achievement of the State Oceanic Administration. Has published more than 150 papers at home and abroad. Many times he acted as the president of International Asia-Pacific Remote Sensing Conference. He enjoyed a high reputation. in the international marine remote sensing.
