Work Experience
From January 2002 to the present, he has served as the deputy director of the Flood Control and Drought Relief Engineering Technology Center of the ministry of Water Resources. From January 2001 to the present, he has served as a deputy chief engineer of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. From January 1997 to December 2000, he was the deputy director of the Institute of Hydraulics in China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. From May 1992 to December 1996, he was the director of the Center for Disaster and Environmental Studies in China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. From August 1989 to September 1990, he was an engineer at the Center for Disaster Reduction Research at the Ministry of Water Resources. From August 1987 to July 1989, he was an engineer at the Institute of Hydraulics in China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research.
Achievement
He has undertaken more than 40 flood control and disaster reduction research topics. And he was a leader of most projects. He published more than 100 academic papers and monographs. His research results have been awarded provincial and ministerial level awards. He won the Science and Technology Progress Award of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research several times.Some of his monographs have played a certain role in promoting the transformation of flood control from flood control to flood management.
