Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to analyze main characteristics and basic method of land use planning for restoration and reconstruction after Wenchuan earthquakes, and reflect relevant issues. Methods employed include systematic analysis and field survey. The results show that the characteristics of land use planning for restoration and reconstruction after earthquakes include human- oriented, emergency, scientific, ahead and coordination. The prophase investigation and safety evaluation of land use should be stressed in the planning. The allocation and spatial pattern of land for restoration and reconstruction shall be determined, and relevant policies shall be carried out. The land use planning should be scientific and rational.
